MORTON FELDMAN / EARLE BROWN : Feldman / Brown LP (Mainstream [USA] MS/5007) 1970(?)
Record is excellent with minimal light sleeve marks only. Gatefold cover is excellent with minimal ring-wear on back and a very small tear (not split) on the top seam.
Nice Mainstream press of this classic 1960s avant garde LP, originally issued circa 1962 as part of Time's remarkable "Contemporary Sound" series (which Brown supervised) and reissued circa 1970 on Mainstream (as were most of the other LPs in the series).
Morton Feldman: Durations (1961 for alto flute, tuba, piano, vibraphone, violin, cello)
Earle Brown: Music for Violin, Cello, and Piano (1952); Music for Cello and Piano (1955); Hodograph I (1959) for flute, piano, celeste, orchestra bells, vibraphone, marimba).
Performers include David Tudor, David Soyer, Philip Kraus, Don Butterfield, Matthew Raimondi, and Don Hammond.
