We are starting to sell off parts of a large collection of records, of virtually all genres.

Today, we shall mostly be selling UK psych, folk ( mostly acid folk ), beat and progressive - some great Beatles and Stones items included. Please look out for our auctions, they will appear very regularly.

Up for sale now we have a copy of Marc Brierley – Welcome to the Citadel UK original on orange label CBS 63478 from 1968. This is a now a highly sought after album, and one of my personal favourite Acid Folk singer songwriter LP’s. Hard to define the atmosphere of this LP, there are occasional jazz influences, (Henry Lowther plays on this LP), great lyrics, atmospheric songs, well produced and hardly a song to fault. One of the best in this field. It also has one of the great covers of the time – see the picture below. Please also note, we have the other Marc Brierley LP, Hello, also up for sale at the moment. Condition .

This record is not quite as good a copy as the other records I have up for sale. The vinyl has marks on it, although they are mostly superficial, but there are some clicks and pops, and occasional light surface noise. None of these detracts from or overwhelms the the music, though. This was my listening copy for years, and I was perfectly happy with it. Graded as VG+

The sleeve, which is laminated on the fornt cover, has only a few very slight creases from corner bends or taking in and out of storage and the back is just slightly worn and discoloured. There are no splits or tears, and only a little rubbing to the bottom seam and the corners. A good EX cover. Please note, I am being critical in my descriptions here, as it is such a rare record these days. I guarantee you will be happy with this copy. If not, as always, I will offer your money back.

Europe rates start at £5 for the first LP, USA and Canada at £7 for the first LP Japan, Korea and Australia start at £9 for the first LP. The free postage offer applies to all of these too.
