"Visions Fugitives" - for the first time on LP (original was only CD) - the sixth album by the prog metal band from Germany - the B-side contains the marvel "Suite For Group And Orchestra" - with singer Doug Lee (Siren) - mastered for vinyl by Vadim Kulin (ZYX Studio) -Limited Edition Mekong Delta were the first German Prog Thrash band, just a year before Sieges Even released their debut. With "Mekong Delta", 1988, they didn't make it easy for the uninitiated metal fan, unless you were familiar with the complex material of Rush or the early Yes and Genesis, were among the few insiders who "Energetic Disassembly" (1985) from Watchtower, or was treated to King Crimson or sophisticated classical music by an older brother. The second album "The Music Of Eric Zann" was recognized by the fans as ingenious and top-class due to a more differentiated sound. The mysterious Mekong Delta (the line-up initially remained hidden) made a name for themselves as one of the most innovative German metal bands, which is still valid today. This was also shown by the current album "Tales Of A Future Past" (2020), which was rightly celebrated. For the fourth album, Doug Lee joined the band, who was previously (and is again) the singer with the US group Siren, who are releasing their second LP "Financial Suicide" on Aaarrg Records. And their label boss Ralph Hubert is not only bassist and classical guitarist in Mekong Delta, but also the driving force behind the band. Together with drummer Peter Haas (Krokus, Buddy Lackey, Calhoun Conquer) and guitarist Uwe Baltrusch, they reached another high and delivered one of their most ambitious works in 1994: Visions Fugitives. Mekong Delta have previously celebrated classic pieces in a metal guise, but on Visions Fugitives they inspire with their own composition called "Suite For Group And Orchestra", which now fills one LP side. The other four songs show the band in their usual style. In 1994 no record was made by then label Bullet Proof (Intercord) as the CD had already won the battle. Due to the current demand, this masterpiece is now being released on LP for the first time!
