Description
Hello, I am a long-time eBay seller - since October, 1999. I have a 100% feedback record, so bid and buy with confidence. I have collected records for many years and every record I offer comes from my personal collection. The grade I specify for the vinyl is based upon a playback as well as a visual inspection. The grade I assign for the cover and inserts (if any) is based upon a close visual inspection. My grading standards are conservative - I believe that it does no one any good to inflate the grade of the record only to have the buyer be disappointed upon receipt and wish to return it.
For sale today is a very rare original issue by Bill Homans entitled Merry Airbrakes on the St. George International label. The vinyl visually appears in VG++ to Near Mint condition and plays Mint - it really sounds great! The cover is a generic white outer sleeve in VG+ condition. No splits or tears, but definite age, wear at the corners and some flaking on the seams. The design and title on the front cover were hand-drawn by Mr. Homans and contains an inscription to two friends, and is then signed by Mr. Homans as "Bill" (see photos). The back cover has the title of the songs hand-printed in red ink. It was not uncommon for Mr. Homans to use this type of homemade cover, which he then gave to his friends.
Upon purchasing this item many years ago, I replaced the original plain white paper inner sleeve with an archival inner sleeve; I then placed the vinyl/archival inner sleeve into a separate new white generic hard outer sleeve to best protect both the vinyl and the original outer cover (see photo #6). I will include and mail the vinyl stored inside the new generic white hard outer sleeve to the buyer (along with the original outer cover of course).
