Description
This is a vintage Levi jacket lined by Deborah&Clare in a Liberty Dove Silk 1960s . This was part of a small quantity of Silk the other bit of which was used by Deborah&Clare to make the shirt worn by Mike Jagger for his wedding to Bianca.
Deborah&Clare shirts were worn by actors and rock stars through the period 1965-1975. Their hand made shirts were sold from a tiny shop in London's Beauchamp Place
This vintage piece was originally sold by Jigsaw as part of a special 1960s promotion and had a retail price of £3000. Included With the jacket was an original 1960s Polaroid of the Rolling Stones The jacket ( a piece of Rock and Roll History was also included in the Financial Times How To Spend It Magazine
I am now selling as the jacket is too small for me. So included in this lot: 1. The jacket silk lined. This is a vintage item so please note the jacket is worn, frayed with minor marks. Similar in look to modern distressed denim. This adds to the charm of the piece (2) The 1960s Polaroid and a blow up of this printed on a tag in a Jigsaw Box (3) A metal plate produced by Jigsaw to aid selling of the jacket ( 4) Financial Times magazine featuring the jacket. (5) Booklet about Deborah and Clare
