Description
Here's a very rare black Doo-Wop 45 record: the Moroccos singing "Pardon My Tears" - a very nice R&B flavored doo-wop ballad, backed on side B with a fun novelty number "Chicken" on United Records from 1955. My 1999 Osborne catalog lists this for $250.
Visual vinyl condition is M-, very clean. I cleaned it on a Nitty Gritty Cleaning machine and played it, it plays through on both sides with no major problems (no ticks, no skips and no screlches). It does have some background noise, I do not know if this is because of the local label pressing or because of the condition of the record, this 45 is so rare that I have no way to determine this. The music signal comes through loud and clear, but there is a some lite crackling throughout. At the beginning of side A there is a pressing flaw that causes a three minor "wub - wub - wub" sounds before it settles down and the music takes over.
Labels are just about perfect, M-, no wear and very fresh. If you are looking for a playable copy of this rare 45 that looks perfect, this is it.

This is part of a huge 45 collection I am selling for a widow, her husband was a dilligent record collector for nearly 50 years. Most of the material from this collection was cleaned with a Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning machine and is carefully graded and sorted for sale by groups and categories, there is alot of M- stuff in this group so please keep checking back in the weeks to come to see it.
