NIRVANA
To Markos III (Metromedia MD 1018) 1970
Here's a beautiful copy of this very rare psych LP by the legendary UK duo. The album was originally recorded as Black Flower for Island, whose boss, Chris Blackwell duly rejected it (hence the addition of the track 'Christopher Lucifer', or so it's said). The duo then licensed the tapes to the small US label Metromedia, who barely released it, though this is in fact a stock copy, unlike the majority of white label promos that surface. After its US release they also licensed it to Pye for UK release, though US stock copies are just as rare. Oh - and I forgot to mention, it's easily the best album they ever did, with the awesome classics 'The World Is Cold Without You' and 'Black Flower'.
SLEEVE
The unlaminated thick card sleeve is in VG+ condition, with minor general wear but no splits or writing..
VINYL
The glossy vinyl is in amazing EX to NM condition, with no serious issues at all, and plays beautifully on my Pro-Ject deck. It's hard to believe that there are better copies out there.
