Description

For sale is this lovely scarce vinyl LP of NICK DRAKE - HEAVEN IN A WILD FLOWER on Island Records 1985.
Compiled by Trevor Dann and released by Island a decade after Nick Drake's death this wonderful album was intended to introduce Nick's music to a wider audience. John Martyn stood in for his friend to do national promotional duties and Island advertised the release widely in the music press but at the time the record sold little better than Nick Drake's albums during his lifetime. first pressings of this title are rare.
This copy is a genuine UK 1st Pressing with red glossy text over-printed onto semi matt sleeve, plain inner, no bar code and the correct matrix numbers:
Matrix / Runout (Side A Runout): ILPS 9826 A-1U-1-1

  • Matrix / Runout (Side B Runout): ILPS 9826 B-1U-1-1

Condition: Please note I am not a professional dealer, I'm just selling a few of my own records. I am not experienced in grading vinyl. I can only give an honest appraisal of the condition of this disc based on visual inspection. That said:

The sleeve is VG+. There is very little edge or corner or surface wear. There is some creasing (pictured) especially in the top R/H corner. The plain inner sleeve is in very good order with some darkening and signs of age. The disc is overall VG at least. The surface is clean dark and lustrous still with its gloss. Under harsh light there are plenty of light surface marks and scratches. Under normal light there are two visible light scratches on side one that are nonetheless deep enough to feel with the edge of a fingernail. Overall a nice playable UK 1st pressing of this album.

If this record interests you please keep checking my listings as I'm going to list several other interesting and collectable LPs and cassette tapes in the coming days.

Thanks for looking.
