You are bidding on a very RARE "The Hesitations" 45 from 1966, KAPP label. (K-790).
Songs: Soul Superman and I'm Not Built That Way
The record is VG++. The label has VERY MINOR wear, with small BB size hole through label. I would guess the hole is from Jukebox play, however, the record is visually brand new...with no scratches, scuffs, or bends.
There is no sleeve for this record, only standard brown cover.
The Hesitations were an American Northern Soul group from Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in 1965, they scored several hits in 1967 and 1968, the biggest being their gospel-infused version of the title track to the movie Born Free. After lead singer George "King" Scott was accidentally shot and killed in February 1968, the group disbanded. They recorded four Albums "Soul Superman", "Born Free", "That's Where Its At" and "Solid Gold". The Hesitations went to New York in 1968 where they performed at the famed Apollo Theater along with Chuck Jackson. They toured Germany with Dick Clark with the USO show, which was also broadcast on the Armed Forces Radio Stations. The Hesitations have performed with Gladys Knight and the Pips, Stevie Wonder, The Ojays, Sly and the Family Stone and a multitude of others.
This is the hardest to find and most valuable Hesitations 45.
