Very rare original Dutch 1970 LP by Dutch psych / prog folkrock band O.P.M.C. (opium sea ...). They were Scotsman Barry Webb together with Dutch musicians who had earlier been in 'Serpentine'. See scan.

Beautiful Dutch/UK psychedelic folk rock with long tracks full of 60's vibe and drugged-out spacey guitar.This international underground association was centered around Barrie Webb (from Scotland) and Teun van der Slikke. They wrote friendly, rural hippie folk songs with strange lyrics, as illustrated by "I'll Just Sit Here And Dream". You may be able to detect a dim, drug-induced aura, vaguely reminiscent of Love's Forever Changes, although musically this is much more sparse. Amalgamation is indeed a very good album strong on haunting melodies and a delayed late sixties atmosphere.

Tracks: Overture, I'll just sit here and dream, Ballad of the sun, The head // Sick and tired, Train thing, Easter song, Cambridge impressions, Song for Mariolijn, Fire child. Superb psych prog acid folk rock !!!

Much rarer on the Dutch Pink Elephant label than on the German Bellaphon label !

ESSENTIAL ITEM FOR ANY FOLK / PSYCH / PROG ROCK FAN OR COLLECTOR !!!

Label: Pink Elephant PE 877.001-G. First edition (ED1). Condition record/cover: ex (rarely played)/ex- (slight ring- and cornerwear, some creases/dents, original price sticker on back). VERY RARE even in Holland !!!
