Here for auction: David Oistrakh & Vladimir Yampolsky. "Encores" on UK Columbia SAX 2253. EX/EX.
I have checked parts of both sides of the disc for sound quality on a Thorens TD160 super with SME Mk III arm and B&O MMC II cartridge, Roksan Kandy RA Mark III amp and B & W DM 603 floorstander's. I hope this gives a fair representation of the disc's quality in the description below.
Vinyl is in a nice EX condition.Very clean looking disc with a lovely shine.Just a small hard to see mark when viewed in strong light (which does not sound at all).There are no kinks or warps and disc lies flat on turntable.
Sound is beautifully clear and undistorted and there were no repetetive tics in the parts played.Disc play's with just some light surface sound in some quieter parts and a few isolated light pops/clicks.A nice copy.
Cover is in EX condition.Looks good, still really nice.Has a bit of lamination peel near the gold stereo logo on front . And some really minor shelfwear on front.
Label's EX+ Could see only a few light spindle marks and no there are other marks or blemishes at all.
Oriinal inner sleeve is EX+
