All the performances on this record were made live at concerts on the festival, ORCHESTRAL SPACE '68. The series was organized by Toru Takemitsu and Toshi Ichiyanagi and took place in Tokyo, June 4, 5, and 7, 1968.  Two orchestral concerts were performed by the Japan Philharmonic under the direction of Seiji Ozawa and Kazuyoshi Akiyama.  The chamber program utilized free-lance musicians and members of the Japan Philharmonic and Yomiuri Symphony.  This was the second ORCHESTRAL SPACE festival.  The first, which occurred during the Spring of 1966, was the source of two other recordings issued by Japan Victor.

Record Condition:

Cover: In Excellent condition, slight wear on edges, some of the red has worn off on top and bottom edge only, no tears or holes.

Record: Excellent condition. As good as the day it was bought, looks to of never been played.

Insert:  Intact, no tears.
