Rare as a WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL 1972 advanced release first press in old unipack gatefold cover... a powerful hard guitar trio... ROAD, follows more or less the pattern of in the Jimi Hendrix Experience, led by Noel Redding who WAS the original Experience bassist & backup vocalist with Jimi just 4 years before this album was released...ya know, the heavy trio thing is still bangin' around in his head

ROAD...formed from the ashes of FAT MATRESS ...Noel Redding never really established a career outside of Hendrix. Neither Fat Mattress, while good, or his own solo albums took off in any way, but this power trio called Road recorded some really HEAVY great stuff. "Mushroom Man" features some of the wildest wah-wah/fuzz tone guitar you maybe have EVER heard, while both "Spaceship Earth" and "Road" are lysergic blasts of stoned early seventies rock supreme -- on balance this record is killer. Another one that sank under the waves. Kick out the jams, brothers and sisters!
