PANAMA LIMITED - INDIAN SUMMER
HARVEST LABEL 1970 FIRST UK PRESSING WITH GARROD & LOFTHOUSE OUTER TEXTURED GATEFOLD SLEEVE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND PLAYS WITH GREAT AUDIO A VERY ENJOYABLE LISTEN.

Released in September 1970 on the HARVEST label, I am offering today this very good all round first UK pressing of this rare progressive album by PANAMA LIMITED titled "INDIAN SUMMER" . The album plays with nice audio but some very light crackle can be heard between tracks but overall a very enjoyable listen.
This was produced by the late Jonathan Peel and is a first & only UK pressing with Gramophone rim text and A1G & B2G matrix numbers. When this classic album was released back in 1970 it only sold in small amounts due to people thinking it was going to be another jug band album like their debut which this album most certainly is not. For anyone that has not heard it, this is a progressive rock classic packed with great tracks. Some say it is like Captain Beefheart but I think it is much better.
This album was the bands second and last release and it comes complete with Hipgnosis designed Garrod & Lofthouse outer textured gatefold sleeve. Now this sleeve is not mint or excellent but it has no splits or tears or unwanted writing etc and apart from and the spine being no longer legible it is certainly a respectable example of one of the rarest albums on this great label.
NOT MINT OR EXCELLENT BUT BETTER TO HAVE AN ORIGINAL IN YOUR COLLECTION RATHER THAN A RE ISSUE
I have just played this through for these listing purposes and it plays through nicely. Needless to say absolutely no sticks or skips etc
The VINYL, The Vinyl visually shows lots of light scratches & audibly plays with very good audio. It plays with absolutely no nasty sticks or skips etc but there was some light crackle to be heard occasionally, but overall this is a very good playing example.
The SLEEVE, The Garrod & Lofthouse fully textured gatefold sleeve is in very good condition. There are no splits or stickers etc but the sleeve is showing wear and tear ringwear etc and the spine is no longer legible.
The LABELS, The Harvest labels are very clean apart from the label on side one which looks to have been repaired, Otherwise showing moderate spindle traces.
The INNER, The Harvest company inner sleeve is reasonably clean and free from unwanted writing or splits etc.
