1970 uk Mushroom Records,100 MR7 (1E-2E). Here is a musically excellent very rare original 1970 instrumental uk Mushroom label sitar-psych album, anything on the Mushroom label is very collectable and hard to find, this excellent Eastern Sitar/Tabla album by 'Kandit K.S. Trikha' is not as rare as Simon Finn, Secondhand or Magic Carpet, but it is still a very rare uk Mushroom label album that is extremely difficult to find in nice condition.  The pictures are of the actual album for sale. Pandit moved to London from India in 1964, having studied the sitar since 1943, under the guidance of Professor Tey Bhan, Sangeetacharya, a court musician of Kashmir, (Poonch).
On this album, his virtuosity is very much in evidence, the exploitation of his musical energy and verve apparent in every note. Delicate, bold, sweet or even querulous various rhythmical flashes set the mood and he literally emanates supreme confidence and accomplishment on his chosen instrument - the sitar.

CONDITION = EX+

This very nice original uk first pressing on offer here is in EX+ condition and both sides play and sound very near perfect throughout. Side-2 is extremely clean with a brilliant as new sheen with no surface marks, scuffs or scratches, it looks as close to mint as you will find, Side-1 is almost the same apart from juat a couple of top surface scuff marks and the odd fine hairline, all of which are so light that they have absolutely no affect on play at all, both sides play superb throughout with barely even a trace of background crackle, there really are no nasty marks on either side, so there are absolutely no loud clicks or pops and no annoying loud crackle, all three album tracks play and sound as close to new with a really superb clean and clear sound quality. The Mushroom labels are just perfect with no marks or wear at all. The uk printed front laminated matt backed single sleeve is in very good+ condition. The front lamination has a excellent clean high gloss finish with minimal creasing, the matt back is clean apart from one small dry yellow tape mark at the opening edge, there is alo a neat ex-shop stamp and lastly two prices written in biro in the top right corner, the rest of the back just show some light signs of age. The top/bottom edges are in great condition with no wear or seem splits, the spine is the same with all text bold and clear and very easy to read. The original white paper inner sleeve is in excellent condition with no defects.
