Album Notes:

The Italian progressive rock band, Premiata Forneria Marconi, better known in English speaking countries as P.F.M., was the first (and one of the only) Italian rock bands to have success abroad, touring extensively in both the UK and USA and receiving considerable airplay on American and British rock radio stations. They were also innovators in that they were one of the first Italian bands to use the synthesizer and bring classical / Italian folk music into the rock music arena. In the early seventies PFM came to the attention of Peter Sinfield (King Crimson, Roxy Music), who helped them get a record deal with ELP’s Manticore. Manticore soon released their third album, the 1973 prog rock classic, “Photos of Ghosts”, which was actually a reworking of their earlier Italian release “Per Un Amico”. Sinfield was so enthusiastic about the group that, in addition to helping to produce and mix the album at Advision Studios in London, he also helped pen the album's english lyrics. Gatefold edition and printed inner sleeve with lyrics.
