Stunning Original 1973 UK 1st Pressing 'Dark Side of the Moon' by Pink Floyd. Absolutely Stunning Vinyl & 1st Press Sleeve!!! True UK 1973 1st Press A2//B2 Matrix, Thick Heavyweight Vinyl, w/ Solid Blue Prism & The Gramophone Co.' Centre Label Text. Complete with 1st Press 'Blueish Tinged' Gatefold Sleeve which is Factory Sealed at One End, Original Black 'White Patents Text ' Windowed Inner and 1st Press Rough Textured Posters & Stickers!!! Impossible to Find In This Condition !!!
You are bidding on a STUNNING ORIGINAL UK 1973 Harvest/EMI UK 1st Pressing of this all time classic LP by Pink Floyd! In Stunning Condition!!! It is the Original Thick & Chunky 1973 UK 1st PRESSING with A2//B2 1st press Matrix on the Solid Blue Prism Label with 'Gramophone Co. Ltd' and 'Made in Gt. Britain' centre label text and Original 1st Press Blue-Tinged Sleeve, (factory sealed at one end) Black windowed poly-lined Inner & 1st Press Posters & Stickers!!! It is important to note all these characteristics marking it as a true UK 1st pressing as so often components are switched by and swapped around by dealers. First and perhaps most important is the solid blue triangle, 'Gramophine Co.' centre label text and A//2 B//2 matrix on the disc. However just as important in my point of view is the 1st press gatefold sleeve which MUST have a blue tinge to it and MUST be factory sealed at one end. And when I say factory sealed, I do not just mean glued together - one end MUST be sealed by being folded in on itself. See Image. Then we get to the 1st press poly-lined windowed inner sleeve which must be die-cut and must have the 'patents' text and made in Great Britain' test printed in white. Lastly the poster will have a textured paper feel and NOT a shiny laminated feel. Without ALL these characteristics present the record is not a true 1st pressing!!! I am happy to say that this record meets all of my strict UK 1st Press criteria - not only that but it is in absolutely STUNNING condition throughout!!
It is one of the best exmples of this rare 1st press I have ever come across in all my years of record collecting. The cool 1970's thick and chunky vinyl is in visually and aurally stunning condition - almost FLAWLESS and surely the best you will ever come across. It shines with the 'just pressed' look and feel of a record that was made yesterday. I can promise you that you will NOT find another UK 1st Press DSOTM in this condition again - this is a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity! This LP has been played only once or twice only, and only once by me!!! I want to give you every detail of the record, no matter how small, so check out the description below and if you are not sure of anything just ask... It's as simple as that - don't miss out on this opportunity... You really do not want to miss adding this pristine rarity to your collection - this record is worth pushing the boat out for!!!!

The all-important solid blue prism Centre Labels are Mint- superb with NO Peeling, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind. There is only a few light spindle marks. The centre spindle holes and gramophone rims are also mint!!! The vinyl looks absolutely stunning. It is vary hard to find copies of this LP that have not been played to death, on the rare occasions that the do turn up they are full of nasty scratches and gouges. This one is NOT!!! It looks absolutely stunning with NO Scratches!!! Side 1 is in straight NR MINT CONDITION!!! There are NO scratches No hairlines, NO scuffing, NO marks, NO warping or blemishes of any kind - NOTHING!!! Side 2 is very much the same save for two tiny non-feel-able hairlines during brain damage that in no way effect play. Other that that this vinyl is in solid mint- condition!!! I have thus graded it as EX++ just to be cautious (most would grade it straight Nr Mint). I am very pleased to state that this is a record that also plays as good as it looks!!! These 1st pressings were straight from the masters and nothing even gets close to them today. They play with a deep clear warm clarity and have to be heard to be believed!!! This example It has NO jumps, NO pops and NO hissing!!! Absolutely beautiful!!! The thick quality pressed chunky 1970's vinyl looks and feels great (it is very heavy!).
Now we get to the sleeve, and before we go any further a word of warning, as mentioned above some record dealers like to add repressed Garrod & Lofthouse sleeves to 1st Press DSOTM discs. This is a ploy to increase the overall condition of the album, thus selling it for a greater price. However, all true 1st press DSOTM sleeves have a matt blue tinge to them, they are not completely black (and usually glossy) like the later repressed sleeves, always look closely at the colour of the gatefold sleeve before buying a true UK 1st press DSOTM.
This is a true 1st press sleeve, with a beautiful blue hue and one end factory sealed with a 'fold over' seal - and what's more, it is in STUNNING N. MINT condition!!!! It retains ALL of its factory matt sheen and could have been purchased from new yesterday!!! It has NO Ring wear, NO Tears, No Seam wear, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! It is completely blemish free!!! The sleeve lies perfectly FLAT with and a good N.MINT spine!!! If I was to be really fussy I could say that there is very light wear to the corners, and a little loss of ink in the top left and bottom left corners, but like I said before I'm being particularly fussy here as I want to give you every detail of the record, no matter how small.
Both 1st Press Posters and both 1st Press Stickers are superb!!! The stickers are nice flat and unpeeled, and the posters are EX flat and folded.
Of course - this 1st Press LP would not be complete without its true Original 'Black' 'Poly-lined windowed inner sleeve containing the correct Made In Great Britain' and 'Patent No's' White Text which again is NR MINT!
Please check out our feedback and bid with confidence as this is a no reserve auction with a very low starting price! Good luck with this one - do not forget that you are bidding on a UK 1st Press which is guaranteed 100% complete with ALL its original factory made 1st press components, from the record/sleeve right down to the inner sleeve, posters and postcards, everything is authentic 1st press!!! This is exactly as it came off the masters!!! Due to the value of this record I will only ship it via insured mail.
This is seen by many as the best progressive record ever made- and 100% Original 1st Press copies in EX+++/MINT- are simply no longer available to buy, they are all housed in serious mint collections and will probably not see the light of day again. As such, when one does become available today it usually passes hands for a lot of money. If you have never heard the 1st press of this record, you will not find another copy that looks or plays more pristinely than this- it will blow you away!!! If you are a collector/investor, the price of this record will just rise and rise. An absolutely essential (and very rare) record to own in this complete and beautiful condition!!! Don't miss this one!!!
Please note - due to the value of this record it will only be shipped via insured delivery - see insured shipping prices below, and we will accept Paypal from NON-UK bidders only - if you are in the UK Payment is via personal cheque, postal order or (recorded) cash. If you are in the UK and you pay via Paypal your payment will be refunded!!!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
