The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (Marbled Orange vinyl)
This coloured vinyl bootleg is in superb condition and is pressed on very heavyweight marbled orange vinyl. It is a replica of the early UK mono Columbia release.
The audio on S1 is Ex+ to Near Mint
The audio on S2 is Near Mint
The cover is Mint
The S1 label is Mint / S2 label is Ex+
Visual grading
I hope the photos do it justice because this vinyl is visually in superb condition. It is pressed on swirling orange vinyl with many black flecks and looks stunning when held up to the light. I purchased this from new thus has never been played before and has no hairlines or scratches.
Play grading
It is obviously well known that bootlegs do not play as well as official releases but the manufacturer of this one did a remarkable job! The audio across S1 is of an extremely high standard and there is barely any 'background'. The first track 'Astronomy Domine' plays with real power and definition and the quality does not diminish. Perhaps a little distortion here and there but for anyone that collects coloured vinyl bootlegs this would be a great addition.
The classic 'Interstellar Overdrive' plays extremely well again with just a handful of swish type sounds. 'The Gnome' has stunning audio and I really can't believe the clarity here. It plays with Near Mint quality without doubt. The three remaining tracks more than match up to this standard. This is definitely one of the best bootlegs I have ever heard.
Cover
The glossy cover is in perfect pristine condition with no marking and is 100% Mint.
The labels
The S1 label is perfect, S2 just has one small 'nick' on the edge.
