PINK FLOYD "The piper at the gates of dawn". UK 1st mono. NO "FILE UNDER POP" Ex

Over the next few weeks and months I will be listing a quite lovely collection of Pink Floyd albums.
These will all be at least decent playing copies, but mostly will be of excellent quality, some even better than that. They will include some UK 1st pressings, and if not they will be extremely early pressings. All matrix/mother/stamper combinations will be listed (so long as they are readable!) so you can tell exactly what you are bidding on. All gradings are by visual examination and by play-grading,  strictly to record collector guidelines.
So here we have Pink Floyds debut album "The piper at the gates of dawn". Released in 1967 this is the earliest mono version (released one day before the stereo version). Hard to believe this is 57 years old! Has the black and blue Columbia labels. Most importantly, the back of the cover does NOT have the "file under pop" text in the top right corner.

The cover grades excellent at least. No damage worthy of mention. This is an absolutely beautiful example. I have not seen better for many many years. There is almost no laminate creasing at all and the rear is incredibly clean and solid.
The advertising inner sleeve is also in at least excellent condition. Near perfect really, but the vinyl is now housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve to prevent any damage. The vinyl surfaces visually are really good. Being picky, there is the odd tiny and light mark, but nothing of concern. I have not cleaned this prior to play-grading. We all have our own methods, so that is down to the winner. There is some marking to the run out dead-wax, which looks to me like some kind of liquid marking. Has no effect on the playing surface, but worth mentioning. The labels have a few streaky marks too, which fits with my liquid theory!
So, to the play-grading. These notes come direct from my play-grade book, and written as I listened to the album in full.
SIDE ONE:- A couple of dust "pops" on the run in to track 1. There is a soft tick at the start of track 2. The whole side plays powerfully with detail, with no disturbing noises. There is minor background heard between tracks, anything but intrusive. The last couple of seconds of the run out has some noise, but this is at the end of the track and side, so no real issue.
SIDE TWO:- Similar to side one, with light background during the segues between tracks. About one minute into track 1 there are a handful of light clicks which swiftly vanish. Track 2 has light background for the first few seconds, then quickly clears. Again at the end of the side, there is a little noise into the run off dead-wax.
Overall, I have graded the audio as VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+). I have made the audio sound worse than it is by being so picky, but this is a rare album in this condition, and is worthy of openness and honesty. There will be no nasty surprises for the winner!
So Pink Floyd at their earliest. The mono version of this is highly sought after. To get the earliest cover and inner sleeve is a huge bonus too. This will only increase in value and hopefully will sound even better with a professional cleaning.
Just as a little bonus I have (as I do quite often) thrown in some extra artwork and a coaster depicting the album cover. All are mint, unused. See photos.

All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl's will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send 1st class signed for postage with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me, sometimes less!

I accept returns if I am notified as soon as possible after you receive the album. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the album, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.
I will post overseas, but not to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. Postage within the EU is around £16. Worldwide postage is around £25. If these prices differ once I have packed and weighed them, I will refund the difference immediately.
