Description

THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR THE LP BY PINK FLOYD ENTITLED "UMMAGUMMA".THIS IS A FIRST PRESSING RELEASED IN 1969 IN THE UK ON HARVEST RECORDS  CATALOGUE NUMBER SHDW 1/2. THE RECORD HAS NO EMI BOX ON THE LABELS AND THE VINYL HAS THE MATRIX NUMBERS OF SHDW 1 A1. SHDW 1 B2, SHDW 2 A1 AND SHDW 2 B2 6157 . THE RECORDS ALSO HAVE  VERY EARLY MOTHER STAMPERS OF  2RD, 1RD, 2RT AND 1AD. HOWEVER THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS COPY IS THAT IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION THROUGHOUT.

THE ORIGINAL FIRST PRESS E.J.DAY GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THERE IS SOME VERY LIGHT STORAGE WEAR TO THE CORNERS AND SOME VERY LIGHT CREASING TO THE LAMINATE BUT IT STILL LOOKS REALLY GREAT, ESPECIALLY FOR A SLEEVE THAT IS 41 YEARS OLD.

THE  DOUBLE VINYL'S HAVE RETAINED AN EXCELLENT SHEEN. THERE ARE ONE OR TWO VERY LIGHT SUPERFICIAL MARKS VISIBLE UNDER STRONG LIGHT BUT I AM HAPPY TO GRADE IT AS VISUALLY  BEING IN EXCELLENT+CONDITION.

I HAVE LISTENED TO BOTH RECORDS AT GREAT VOLUME . THEY SIT NICE AND FLAT ON THE TURNTABLE AND PLAYS THROUGH WITHOUT ANY SKIPS OR JUMPS. THERE IS SOME VERY LIGHT BACKGROUND NOISE IN PARTS AND THE  VERY OCCASIONAL STATIC POP BUT I AM HAPPY TO GRADE THE AUDIO AS EXCELLENT AND A REAL TREAT TO LISTEN TOO.

THE LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

THE LPS COME WITH THEIR ORIGINAL HARVEST INNER SLEEVES. THEY WILL BE SENT IN  NEW INNER SLEEVES AND SEPERATED FROM THE MAIN SLEEVE.

OVERALL A GREAT RECORD IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR OTHER CLASSIC ROCK LPS

I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of  £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced
