Somehow, Prodigy's Return of the Mac has never before been issued on vinyl. It is a stone cold classic that comes for this Record Store Day on opaque red vinyl in a nice gatefold jacket. This came at a time when Prodigy was working with eh Alchemist on a bunch of new material that was initially planned to be a mixtape. But they decided the joints were so essential that they needed a full long player release and so it was. The tunes carry on where Prodigy's work with Mobb Deep left off and are high grade indeed. The samples are from a Blaxploitation style with evocative stories from Prodigy taking you on a ride through his New York early years.
