Description
Rare Levi's Back To School Radio Commercials from Summer/Fall 1968 for LEVI STRAUSS in San Francisco. Levi's had a groundbreaking campaign targeting the youth and used bands in their ads. Some of the bands were Jefferson Airplane, Sopwith Camel, PG&E, and West Coast Natural Gas. I don't know who are on these but as they were recorded in San Francisco, local musicians were probably used. They are different musical styles ranging from psychedelic to garage rock. The sound file has a short sample of each. The tracks are titled: STRETCH LEVI'S / LEVI SLIM FITS (WHITE LEVI'S) / ORIGINAL BLUE LEVI'S / LEVI'S STA-PREST SLACKS (CASUALS) / NUVO LEVI'S / LEVI'S STITCHES. VG condition with like new lustre but does have some light scuffs and micro-scratches. VG condition picture sleeve with no stains or tears but some light creasing. Not a bad player that is fairly quiet with only an occasional tic. The sound file is from the 45 tracked at two grams.
