Description
Black and silver label, deep groove. 12 tracks, mainly standards. 8 tracks include Pete Candoli (referred to as “Coolie Chesterfield”), trumpet; Jimmy Rowles, piano; Max Wayne, bass; Ed Shaughnessy, drums. These were recorded in 1953. Balance of tunes were recorded in 1955-56 with unidentified personnel. These are fabulous, classic performances. Fine jazz. Cover: VG. Small tear from old price sticker on upper corner. There is some general waviness to the jacket. Probably as a result of some exposure to a liquid. This has left a light stain on the back cover (about 20% of the back cover) along the spine. Also resulted in some light scuff-like marks, scattered on the corresponding part of the front cover. The jacket is intact, no writing. Record: Mint(-). Visually shows no wear. Except for a rare, light click or 2, no surface noise. Fine copy. Probably played 2 or 3 times with care. Audibly checked.
