Description

Disguised as Philip Lewis and His Orchestra, Arthur Lally's band plays two hot tunes, "Button Up Your Overcoat" and "You Wouldn't Fool Me, Would You," on Decca F 1557.  There are many fine solos.      
Sylvester Ahola, Dennis Radcliffe (tp); Ted Heath (tb); Danny Polo (cl,as); Arthur Lally (cl,as,bar); Johnny Helfer (cl,ts); Claude Ivy (p); Joe Brannelly (bj); Tiny Stock (tu); Max Bacon (d); Rudy Starita (vib); Maurice Elwin (vcl).  Recorded in London on October 12, 1929.
This record is in E- condition visually, but plays around V+.  Recordings from Decca's first year are constricted and grainy in general, and this is pressing is noisy in spots besides.  But the music is great. 
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing.  I know how to pack records.
