Description

An original 1st press of Meddle on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A1/B1. Stampers 1-AR/1-RG. The labels still mention 'Gramophone' in the perimeter text which is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original fully textured Garrod & Lofthouse cover.
Vinyl (Vg+) In great shape despite having seen a moderate level of use. Under close inspection there are a few marks either side - nothing feelable though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are reasonably quiet and the audio comes across with very good clarity. Do expect a few crackles in the odd place - e.g. track 1. But interference, where it exists, is minor and certainly nothing invasive. The audio coming off of these 1st presses is superb so do consider this genuine 1st press at an accommodating price.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Nice and clean back and front with no major creasing. The interior is great with perhaps lightest of ageing. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine is still just legible. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity and lies nice and flat.
