Description

An original 1st press of Meddle on the UK Harvest label. Matrix B1U/A1U. Please note the perimeter text on the labels still mentions "Gramophone" on the labels - this is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in a gatefold cover which is textured on the outside. Also included is the original Harvest advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could make out nothing more than a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Very nice and clean audio for the most part. Interference is both minor and infrequent. Expect a few low-level crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. It's mainly only vaguely noticeable in the intros to both sides - but pretty minimal [and extremely common]. The one deviation is a pop in the intro to Echoes. Overall a very accomplished rendition of this FLOYD classic.
Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition and still remains in very decent condition. A very nice and clean back and front with barely any of that heavy creasing or surface wear you tend to find. The interior looks good and has tanned just slightly. Edge wear is mostly light and the openings still sharpish. But there's a bit more wear along the bottom edge - and one seam has a one inch wear-through. The spine looks ok, but some of the wear is starting to obscure the text. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Bit of ageing. No splits. "Jo" written on one side.
