Description

An original 1st press of Meddle on UK Harvest. Matrix A3/B1U [You can find A1U/B1U - which is earliest 1st]. Stampers 1-O/1-GDB which implies a really nice early copy. "Gramophone" in the perimeter label text. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover textured on the outside. The left panel is sealed shut forming a solid opening panel. There's also an original Harvest inner sleeve from the time too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) A superbly preserved original copy which has only seen the very lightest light use. A couple of very slightest marks per side - but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with just a couple of slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Just the sort of copy you want if you're looking for an unbeatable rendition with a perfectly clear background. This is incredibly difficult to find with a lot of the Floyd Lps, but occasionally one surfaces where someone's really taken tremendous care with it. All quiet sectors play really quiet. Even the cymbal strikes in 'Fearless' are exceptionally realistic. Transient sounds are the hardest to replicate faithfully - and are a sign of an extremely well preserved copy. I detected one isolated tick in the middle of track 1 and a further tick early in Echoes. A few light crackles in the swirling wind section midway through Echoes, along with a couple of very minor ticks. Otherwise, a truly beautiful rendition.
Cover (Vg+) Front and rear are really nice and flat with pretty much no signs of wear to the surfaces. There's hardly any creasing either. The interior looks nice with just light ageing as is difficult to avoid. What is particularly unusual on this copy is that there's very little edge wear at all. The openings are still sharp and nice and firm. The spine is fully intact with hardly any wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. 
Inner (Vg) A bit of ageing. Bag present. No splits.
