Description
Original UK Harvest label stereo press.
This is the seventh studio album by Pink Floyd issued by Harvest Records in June 1972, based on their soundtrack for the French film La Vallee, by Barbet Schroeder. It was recorded in two sessions in Paris, France, whilst they were in the midst of touring Japan and was produced by the band members. The band fell out with the film's producers and retitled the album, 'Obscured By Clouds', but the tribe chanting at the end of the album is from the film.
This is the first EMI/Harvest label variant with the high end mix replaced by Nick Wright, with the A-2 B-2 matrices and 1-T 2-GO stampers of the original 1972 1st pressings!
Overall, just a really great, loud & clear listen. The matrix nos. are; SHSP-4040, A-2 stamper 1-T, B-2 stamper 2-GO. This is one of the early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1972 UK stereo issue of this album!
