Description

Original UK first pressing -- on COLUMBIA / EMI SX 6157 - I bought this record when it was first released in 1967 and it has been well looked after although the vinyl is not perfect. Can't remember why I got the mono version - probably a mistake. Not sure how many times I played it but it was always treated very carefully. Has lived in a plastic cover since purchase and not been played in 30 years or more - just sat on the shelf. Would like to grade as vg+ but that may be unreasonable - nevertheless photos should give some idea of how nice this is. Sleeve is at least vg+ if not ex- . There are no creases, bends, rips, tears or dings of any sort - the corners are near perfect - laminate is vg+++. There is however light ringwear at top and at bottom - scans does not really help Vinyl itself has the following - side 1 has v small scratch and v light scuff marks, side 2 has one small light scratch and a couple of small spots - otherwise looks near perfect - I have not listened to the record so cannot guarantee that there is no surface noise. Label is as scan - there are no spindle marks but light wear around hole. Inner sleeve is good - has some discolouration at edge. I've looked at recent auctions of this LP and would think this is at least comparable if not better - I certainly don't think you'll get a better sleeve anywhere. Please add $9 for worldwide shipping - UK cheaper. Apologies for cost of post but I do use extra strong double thickness packaging. Insurance extra.
