Description

The Wall 1st issue from 1979 on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A3U/B3U-A3U/B2U. This double Lp comes housed in the original gatefold cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse with the original 1st Issue sticker. The cover does not carry the full band member credits inside like the later copies do [reissues hold the four band member names in purple]. Also included are the original rounded corner inners with notches at the top - including catalogue numbers in the bottom right hand corner. 100% original and 100% complete.
Cover (Ex) Nice and shiny and only exhibiting the very lightest signs of wear. There's almost no markings to be found on any of the surfaces which is a bonus. The spine is totally intact and overall the cover still retains perfect rigidity. Please note - the sticker is not attached to the cover and is creased.
Vinyl (Ex) Shiny like new and has clearly seen minimal use. Under close inspection I can only make a couple of very light marks across all four sides - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. I really can't recommend the audio on offer here enough. Any interference with PF records is often very obvious, but here playback is astonishingly clear with little interference. Yes, there are a couple of static crackles in the occasional place [e.g. in Mother], but they really are pretty minor and of little consequence. There's no better rendition of the Wall than on one of these early copies.
Inners (Ex) Bit of light ageing but in otherwise really good condition. 1 tiny seam split...one half centimeter.

Any purchase is guaranteed to get to you quickly, safely, and with total satisfaction, or your money back.
