Description

A 1st issue of the WALL on the UK Harvest label in 1979. Matrix A4/B2/A4/B2. Stampers 'TML-M/X'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Please note the original 1st issue cover is easily identified by the absence of the band members names in the brick directly above the 'baby in the cell'. All later reissues mention the band members names in purple in this brick. Also included are the original thick-card round cornered inner sleeves with notches at the top.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of very lights marks, but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity. THE WALL is full of what is often very low-key audio and many copies suffer some sort of interference which can be off-putting with this title. We only detected a couple of crackles in the odd isolated moments, and certainly nothing remotely invasive. THE WALL remains a classic album and the audio on offer here will knock the socks off of anything you've heard before.
Cover (Ex+) In superb shape and someone has clearly looked after it down the years. Often found with a great deal of ageing this example seems to have totally avoided it. Front and back are in superb condition - nigh on perfect. The interior is pretty much immaculate. Edge wear is very light and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A lovely specimen and one that would be difficult to equal, let alone better.
Inners (Ex/Ex-) In great condition. No nasty marks or creases. One inner has a one inch side split.
