Description
The second offering by these founding fathers of UK psych and in great nick. This is virtually the last time that Syd Barret participated as a full member of the group. The music is outstanding and so is the sound quality. You can already tell which direction they are taking for the future. This is one 24K, top knotch, big kahuna '60s UK psych classic. The flipback laminated cover is in EX condition with only moderate wear at the opening and there are no tears at all. There is a crease at the top right hand corner and here and there some minor beginnings of laminate separation, but not at the opening (except for the tiny bit where the crease begins/ends). The non-laminated rear portion of the cover is EX+ with no writing or any other markings. Cover art is by the inimitable Hipgnosis. The disc has a small inaudible mark at the beginning of track 3 on side 1, but is otherwise NEAR MINT! Side 2 has a hairline which doesn't do anything, perpendicular to the grooves on tracks 3 and 4 and here and there a tiny mark which I can't hear. The Columbia blue/blacks are usually exemplary pressings. Except for these marks and some spindle marks the disc is NEAR MINT. However, I am grading the total disc an EX. This item has become very hard to find in this condition. Hey, take advantage of the opportunity and bid with confidence. NO RESERVE !
