Okay, here is GRAND DADDY of Prince promo LP's, the incredibly rare Grey Marble, promo only issue of the Black Album!!! There were only 50 numbered copies of these and, get this, this is NUMBER NINE!!! #009!! I have never seen another one of these in the FIRST TEN. Probably the only rarer Prince vinyl is the actual original Black Album that was pressed in '87 that escaped destruction!! And quite frankly, I think these are way cooler. There is almost nothing differentiating those originals from the regular ones issued in '94. But THIS, this is pressed on a marbled grey vinyl, that has some white a black mixed in, PLUS it's numbered, PLUS there are only 50 that exist!!! It comes in a WHITE sleeve that has the peach lettering on the sleeve like the regular black issue! Dude to the unique 'marbling process' each of these pressings come out different, so each one is truly one of a kind. Each individual number makes it even more so. These were ONLY given to high up Warner Brothers executives and only a handful of these are even still known to still be in the US. Most have are owned by overseas collectors! These were an incredibly special promo only item that not only were never sold in stores, but ultimately they weren't even really used to 'promote' either! They were more like vanity collectables for industry execs!!! ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE ITEM!! These are really one of the VERY top Prince rarities and the fact that it's for such an enigmatic release as 'The Black Album' makes it even more extraordinary!! Even when albums are numbered, it's usually on the sleeve, so it makes this that much more unusual that it's numbered on the record!

I know everyone tries to hype there auction as a "MUST HAVE ITEM", but trust me when I tell you, this is a serious high end Prince collectable that if you are a serious Prince collector you will NOT see another like this. Especially one with a number this low. This is easily in the top 10 Prince rarities. Act now or forever hold your peace. You KNOW these are only going to appreciate in price in the years to come and I'll probably regret not making the buy it now higher...

This record has not been played since I've owned it, and I've had it for the last 10 years now. It's been kept in it's original sturdy, reinforced mailing container that I received it in and is in excellent condition. It's hard to rate these as they were never sealed, so 'like new' is kind of relevant to the way they were issued. All were handled to a degree so it depends on who's rating it I guess. I'll just call it VG+ or whatever. No major wear or damage and it's been very well preserved. There are two slightly bum corners that are not perfect though. Both top and bottom corners of the side that the record slides into are dinged. Not major, but enough to be noted. The pictures show both of these imperfections. This is a VERY hard to photograph item because it's all white so the pictures can only show so much. But just know that there are two corners that are NOT sharp. But being that this was never sealed, it was passed around by industry people, etc. all those things considered it's still in over all VERY good+ shape. But no returns, so make sure you look at the pictures carefully before bidding. I will send it to you in the shape described, but I'm going to have this kind of high end and delicate item handled, repackaged and sent back to me when I've gone to great lengths in pictures and descriptions to let you know exactly what you're getting. And questions PLEASE ask.

Also, because of the flash, some of the pictures make it look like the gold number stamp in faded or light in parts, but this is NOT the case. Every bit of the stamp is in very bold, full, gold numbering and looks perfect. This whole items looks way better in person. View all the pictures and you'll see what I mean.

I don't know what shipping will be on this, but if you take the buy it now before I put the exact price on it (I will be going to the post office tomorrow to price it) just know that you will pay first class/priority, delivery confirmation AND insurance! For a fine item like this I'm sure you'd prefer it that way as well. PLEASE Re-READ THIS SO THAT WE ARE CLEAR. It will be shipped to you with all the same protective packaging that I received it in. Wait for my invoice before paying!

This is an awesome rarity from one of the great geniuses of our time. The fact that this is a special, limited edition, NUMBERED, promo only, COLORED, vinyl issue of an album that was only commercially available for TWO MONTHS (The Black Album was only officially in print from November of 1994 to January of 1995) makes this release quite exceptional!! Get it while you can. This is the only one quite like it on the planet (with it's exclusive individual number)!!!
