This is the second single by Portuguese psychedelic group Quarteto 1111. Released in October 1969, it came after almost an entire year without any recording. However, the group had started recording with other artistas, namely Tonicha, and would pursue that path even further in the new decade.

 

The A-side features “Nas Terras do Fim do Mundo” [In the Lands of the End of the World], a wonderful psych folk number with lyrics about the mythical creatures that supposedly haunted the navigators’ voyage, and the B-side is precisely called "Bissaide" [a Portuguese sonorous game with the English word]. It is a fantastic instrumental psych funk number, on the vein of “Fantasma «Pop»” (from Quarteto 1111’s first EP, in 1967) or “A Fuga dos Grilos” (featured on their 1970 acclaimed debut LP).
