Sheer Heart Attack (3U/4U) Very Early Pressing
This very early pressing is in an archive, museum copy without doubt and appears unplayed judging by the immaculate audio. I grade honestly as my feedback testifies and I am confident in grading it as Mint as the quality of the audio is just stunning. The laminated cover is also in superb condition.

Visual grading
I am not exaggerating by saying this vinyl looks 'new' and appears to be unplayed prior to my play testing. There is no spindle wear at all and it is visually absolutely stunning, I have never seen a cleaner, more glossy looking 3U/4U pressing than this one. I cannot praise it enough, there are no hairlines or scratches and even the run out grooves are beautifully clean. I think the original owner bought this in '74, maybe (just maybe!) played it once onto tape and then stored it very carefully. It also plays as good as it looks! The laminated cover is also in stunning condition.
Play grading
'Brighton Rock' is absolutely astounding! This classic track plays with audio that is so close to Mint quality. The depth of the sound and the strength of the bass is of the highest order. There is a minor, and I mean minor (!) hint of static during the quieter sections of the guitar solo but your ears have to be very close to the speakers in order to hear it! There are no clicks or pops at all. 'Killer Queen' no exaggeration is Mint, you have to hear it to believe it and I have never heard better. The other tracks play to the same standard and 'Lily Of The Valley' is a fine example of this. It plays with such clarity and precision and no 'background' whatsoever which is just so incredibly rare for this very quiet track on a vinyl of this age. The version of 'Now I'm Here' is very possibly the best I have heard on a very early pressing. So often it plays with some distortion but the clarity and dynamic power is all encompassing and is a stunning listen.
'In The Lap Of The Gods' carries on the immaculate standard and plays with near perfection. A couple of very light dust ticks only, this track easily grades as Mint and I am once again astounded by the sheer (!) quality on offer. There is no need to individually detail each track as they all play to the same impeccable standard. 'Dear Friends' has no crackle etc just 2/3 background dust ticks that you will find on new vinyl and this one is 43 years old! As you can see I am running out of superlatives for this album. Every track on this side, as per S1, displays audio of mind-blowing quality. Even the final track 'In The Lap Of The Gods...revisited' has no distortion and the only 'background' is a couple of ticks literally at the end on the 'explosion'.
In summary I have never heard a 3U/4U play so cleanly and with such precision, clarity and warmth. I grade honestly as my feedback confirms and this plays 'as new' and if there ever was a final upgrade museum piece then this is it! The audio cannot be bettered. For a 43 year old vinyl to play with no clicks, crackle etc is such a rarity and is a genuine find/collectors item. Stunning :-)
Cover
This is one of the best G & L fully laminated covers I have ever seen and at first glance it looks to be in perfect condition. It so very nearly is! The edges and thin pinched spine are 'like new' and have no rubbing and the opening edge is also extremely clean. The laminate itself is in superb condition and only has a couple of very small area of 'lift' on the back cover near to the opening edge. It still has that glossy look to it and quite honestly this is as close to 'as new' as I have seen in a long time.
Lyric inner
The paper lyric inner is beautifully clean and again (I'm sounding boring now!) is so close to being Mint. It has four cropped corners as per early pressings and there are no marks or writing anywhere. There are no splits which is a mega rarity for a paper sleeve of this age and there is only a tiny amount of creasing. This is as close to Mint as you will find.
The labels
They are in near perfect condition except for one manufacturing mark on S2 by the spindle hole. There is no spindle wear at all.
