The disc was visually inspected and appears to be in NM condition.  The gatefold cover is in excellent condition, with minimal corner/rub wear.  It features song lyrics on the inside of the cover.  It has the Elektra butterfly labels, with CSM printed below the catalog number.  CSM signifies the pressing plant was Santa Maria in California. 

It has the original glossy card stock inner sleeve, which is in near mint condition with no seam splits.  It features color photos of the 4 band members faces on one side, and the cover's logo with two lions on the opposite side.  Please zoom in on the provided photos to see the overall condition of this item.

(Wikipedia Excerpts)  A Day at the Races is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 10 December 1976 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Elektra Records in the United States. Recorded at The Manor, Sarm, and Wessex Studios in England, it was the band's first completely self-produced album, and the first completed without the involvement of producer Roy Thomas Baker; engineering duties were handled by Mike Stone. It serves as a companion to Queen's previous album, A Night at the Opera, with both taking their names from Marx Brothers films and having similar packaging and eclectic musical themes.

The album reached number five on the US Billboard 200 and was Queen's third album to ship gold in the US, subsequently reaching platinum status in the country.

My collection has been securely boxed and stored in a smoke free environment since 1983. Most of my vinyl records have never been played, and many have their original shrink wrap. Seller was in the retail record business in the 1970's-1980's and acquired many promotional and collectible LPs from that era.

Grading methodology is as follows:

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and has never been played.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. May have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, sawcut, or cut corner indicating it is a promotional copy.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches, or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, etc.

Seller ships domestically within the United States via United States Post Office Media Mail with tracking. This is the most economical option. Seller will insure packages valued above $30.  Insurance does not cover missing packages after they have been delivered to the buyer's address, only damage or loss during shipping. Warping is possible if vinyl records are exposed to sun/heat during hot months. Provide a shady area for your package delivery, and bring package inside as soon as possible.  If Buyer would prefer a faster shipping service, please contact the Seller before completing the transaction to discuss options such as Priority Mail. Per USPS, Priority Mail packages are delivered in 1-3 days.
