Description
This 1977 original UK pressing of Queen’s News of the World is a true sonic monument, featuring the etched "NICK W" signature of mastering engineer Nick Webb. With the classic YAX 5355/6 matrix, this version captures the raw, stadium-filling power of the band at the height of their superstardom. A Poetic Reflection Beyond the iconic, haunting gaze of Frank the robot on the gatefold cover lies an album that redefined the boundaries of rock. It begins not with a melody, but with a pulse—the rhythmic stomp and clap of a generation finding its voice in "We Will Rock You," followed by the triumphant, universal embrace of "We Are the Champions". This is Queen at their most diverse and daring. From the serrated punk-metal edge of "Sheer Heart Attack" to the delicate, smoke-filled jazz of "My Melancholy Blues," every track is a masterclass in atmosphere. In this VG+ condition with an Excellent inner sleeve, the vinyl remains a portal to 1977, preserving the crisp highs of Brian May’s Red Special and the unmatched clarity of Freddie Mercury’s vocal acrobatics. It is an essential piece of rock history, ready to turn any room into a stadium once more.
