Description

In 1978, the British and American hard rock band Rainbow released their third studio album. It was also the last studio album to feature the amazing vocals of Ronnie James Dio. They titled it 'Long Live Rock 'n' Roll', and it really rocks! It gave us the hits: "L.A. Connection", "Kill the King", "Rainbow Eyes", and the bangin' title track. Dio left for Black Sabbath by 1979, and Rainbow leader and founder Ritchie Blackmore went through a couple more singers and several other band members through the years...


In 2011, Dio's company Niji Entertainment, by way of Universal Music, released a special numbered and limited edition picture disc LP of that hard rockin' milestone! This copy is number 1458 out of 2500. And the artwork is the wild sketch of the band on the A side, and song titles and a sweet crowd shot is on the B side. In its original PVC jacket, with hype stickers. Jacket looks great except for a split, about 3" long (as so many of them have). Bought new, and never took out of jacket. NEVER OPENED or PLAYED!


And of course you'll get a bonus! I'll add the RED colored vinyl single for the track "L.A. Connection", and backed with "Lady of the Lake"! Both songs are from 'Long Live Rock 'n' Roll'! It's red vinyl, and features the band sketch artwork on one side of the picture sleeve, as well as one side of the vinyl itself. The reverse side of the 7" is the iconic Rainbow rainbow! A very cool Dio and Rainbow collectible, available now, and at a nice price!
