Description

"The Tide Show" Radio Show Transcription Disc recorded by Radio Recorders Inc., Hollywood CA.  One complete 15 minute radio program on this 16 inch, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum, 33 1/3 rpm disc.  This disc was recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, very rare!

"The Tide Show" radio program from May 23, 1952 starring Dinah Shore & Jack Smith with music by Frank DeVol & His Orchestra.  Songs include "Saskatoon Saskatchewan" vocal Jack Smith, "Be Anything But Be Mine" vocal Dinah Shore, "'S Wonderful" vocal Jack Smith, "The Wee Cooper O' Fife" (Nickety Nackety Noo Noo Noo) vocal Dinah Shore & Jack Smith, "Summer Is A Coming" vocal Dinah Shore

Program is sponsored by Tide with commercials, one with jingles by Dinah Shore & Jack Smith, and by Lilt Home Permanent with one commercial

The disc begins with one muffed intro by the announcer and some faint talking by the cast

Program is 15 minutes complete

I could not find any reference to any existing copy of this radio program in any online radio log or database

Disc is in Excellent or better condition with Excellent To Near Mint Sound, Absolutely Beautiful Sound.  There is damage to the label which is visible in the scans.  There is a scratch in the label area that does not extend to the grooves of the disc.   

Please note that most standard turntables will not play 16 inch radio transcription discs due to their size.  For $10 I can make a CD copy of the disc for the buyer only
