Up for auction is a rare jazz LP by Art Pepper, "The Return of Art Pepper," Jazz West Records, JWLP-10, 1956, Mono.

Art Pepper lived to be only 56. He he had many "comebacks" in his time due to serving a series of prison terms for heroin possession. The title of this record is indicative that this is one of those comebacks, and considered by some to be the best.

Record is in VG+ condition going by Goldmine standards. The record has some visible lines and scuffs, in the order of two or three lines and a couple of scuffs on each side. Playing surfaces still have a high gloss. Deep groove labels are in perfect condition with no marks, scratches or stickers.

The album cover has some problems. Half of the top seam is taped with old tape. The rest of the top seam is split with no taping. Side seam has light wear with no splits. Bottom seam is also taped with old tape about 2/3 of the seam. Rest of seam is intact and untaped. Front has some light wear, but no marks or writing. Back of album has light record wear and what looks to be a water stain on lower right corner. Corners have visible wear.

NOTE ON PACKING: Records are shipped out of sleeve. Both record and cover are bagged and bubble wrap is put between record cover and record and cardboard before being wrapped in cardboard record mailer. Extra cardboard or bubble wrap is used to protect corners. If you have a postal service that is particularly hard on packages, let me know. Since I ship worldwide, I realize that some packages might need a little extra padding or care.
