Description
This is an original 1956 first pressing on the all black and silver Decca label entitled " Ernest Tubb Favorites "" (DL 8291). This album has twelve (12) awesome MONO tracks including the legendary hits "I've Been Walking The Floor Over You" (composed by Ernest) and the classic "Have You Ever Been Lonely". This awesome album is in very nice overall condition and will be a great add to one's vintage country vinyl collection.
CONDITION of VINYL: The very shiny and clean vinyl shows what appears to be minimal past play (not much in spindle marks) but does have a noted superficial scratch that goes through Side 1 track one and about 1/2 way through track two. We also noted that Side 2 also has a superficial scratch that goes through track one. We have fully test played the entire record and find that in the track area of the aforementioned scratches the playback does include some minor surface noise and/or light pops (NO skips or repeats) that do not overwhelm the listening experience. We rate this vinyl's overall condition as Very Good Plus (VG+). The vinyl comes with the original and rare opened Decca white poly-bag plus a new generic inner sleeve.
CONDITION of JACKET: The outer jacket (outer sleeve) is in exceptional condition for an album that is 62 years-old. All seams are solid (NO splits) and the spine printing is legible (NO cracking). The front cover art is bright and colorful and this cover would make an awesome one to frame if one is so inclined. The back cover is very clean and completely legible (NO added markings). We rate this jacket's condition as Excellent (EX) to Near Mint (NM). A new poly slip-on outer sleeve is included to help protect this gem of an album for generations to come !.
The vinyl within the Decca Poly bag and new inner sleeve will be separated from jacket during shipment to help guard against seam damage to the outer jacket.
