Description
Item is a very rare 1958 Rockabilly 45 by The Sabres on the KAT RECORDS label. Cuts are " My Hot Mama " ( KAT-100B-45 ) and " Puppet " ( KAT-100A-45 ). Both vocals are written by A. Deal and both are sung by Louis Gittens. Vinyl Matrix/ Stamper Nos. are hand written 100B-45 and 100A-45. Both cuts have fantastic upbeat "rock out " vocals similar to early Elvis (Mama) and early Jerry Lee Lewis (Puppet). This record was extremely clean when found with a group of 45s at an estate sale. No further cleaning has been done. I think most sellers would grade vinyl as MT-. Audio is Excellent, with Bass lacking a bit, as many were during this time. There is No Reserve for this item. Vinyl B Side VG++ to MT- : couple tiny, short, hairline, shallow scuffs (barely visible, no effect on play), great gloss, no background noise (margins have whisper).
Vinyl A Side VG++ : 3 tiny, short, shallow scuffs (no effect on play), great gloss, no background noise (margins have whisper)
Label B Side VG++ : no edge wear, very light ring soiling / wear, no writing, no stickers.
Label A Side VG+ to VG++: no edge wear, light ring soiling / wear, no writing, no stickers.
