Description

RCA LM 9021. "Piano music of Mendelssohn and Liszt" by Vladimir Horowitz with cover art by Andy Warhol.
Now considered to possibly be the rarest Warhol LP cover, this, until recently unknown by most, RCA cover was a scarcely found classical LP, that was reissued with a different cover shortly after it's release. It was probably his 1st cover for RCA and around the 5th he did.

There are said to be less than 7 copies known. After one was auctioned before it was well known last month, 2 more were very quickly sold as Buy It Now's and no more have surfaced.  I've decided to offer my only copy which I bought many years ago after recognizing the artwork. I have found no others since, despite a lot of searching.

The cover is in absolutely beautiful Near Mint/Near Mint- condition for it's 60 year age. No seam splits on top or bottom. Great color with almost no degradation at all to the front. It is by far, the best out of the 3 copies that have sold on ebay and I would find it hard to imagine finding one better.
Vinyl is Very Good to Very Good + with nice luster and some small marks.
