Description

Here we have a rare classic R&B album from Ray Charles entitled 'Ray Charles At Newport'.It was issued in 1959 on the highly collectable London American record label under their Jazz Series and the catalogue no.is LTZ-K 15149.The record is in mono.

There are 8 tracks and these are :-

Side One   The Right Time   In A Little Spanish Town   I Got A Sweetie   Blues Waltz

Side Two   Hot Rod   Talkin' About You   Sherry   A Fool For You

The record is in excellent condition,near mint,and appears to have been played very little.Both sides play near perfectly with no jumps or skips and the overall sound is clear and sharp.

The outer cover has been assessed as being in VG+ condition as it is rather grubby on the reverse side along the edges.However,apart from this there are no major marks or blemishes,no rips or tears and except for the price shown in one corner (35 shillings and 9 pence!),no handwriting on the cover.

IN MINT CONDITION THIS ITEM IS VALUED BY RECORD COLLECTOR AT £25 - IN VIEW OF ITS EX/VG+ GRADING WE HAVE A LOWER STARTING POINT AND NO RESERVE.THIS IS PERHAPS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR FANS OF RAY CHARLES OR LONDON AMERICAN LABEL COLLECTORS TO FILL A HOLE IN THEIR COLLECTION.
