You are bidding on STRAUSS WALTZES featuring FRITZ REINER and THE CHICAGO SYMPHONY.
This is on RCA LSC-2500 shaded dog matrix 15S/11S US pressing.
This record has long been on Harry Pearson’s best record TAS list. The best matrix is 15S/11S which this is. Different pressings do make a difference. The best pressing extend further into the run-out groove, which means the frequency's are more dynamic. These Strauss Waltzes are a perfect example of that. The string section is superb, with great transparency yet delicate. The woodwind and horn section are delightful, especially the clarinets. The bass is deep and thunderous at the same time. If your wondering why the stamper Number is so high, this record never had any low number stampers below the teens.
Cover is a solid VG++ and better with very top minor ring wear. There is no writing anywhere on the jacket. Includes the original RCA inner sleeve.
Vinyl is near mint – no marks seen under a strong light and one miniscule spindle mark.
I don’t believe this has been played more than a few times- if that.
This is as good as it gets for a classic highly desirable legendary very often.
