Description

ROBERT JOHNSON "I Believe I'll Dust My Broom/Dead Shrimp Blues" on VOCALION 03475 in a strong E. Record looks almost E+ but due to a couple of extremely light scuffs that do not affect play I have to grade it at a top end E, a really great player with no real wear. I'm sure many would call this E+. "Dead Shrimp" has some slight label damage & 4 or 5 tiny red spots, "Broom" has x4 tiny red spots on the label, all of which should be seen on the scans. Very few copies of this record exist in playable condition, the first outing for the "Dust My Broom" saga coupled with the strange "Dead Shrimp". Great double sided Johnson.

Take info: "Broom" SA-2581-1, "Shrimp" SA-2628-2. Both sides recorded in 1936 & 37, San Antonio, Texas.

"She's a no good doney, they shouldn't allow her on the street".

All records are USA originals unless otherwise stated.

78rpm GRADING: Standard VJM grading, highest E down to F.

E..... excellent, clean, almost no wear, marks or damage.

V..... very good, may be worn and marked but music louder than wear.

G.... good, pretty worn but still listenable, music to noise ratio about 50/50.

F.....about 90/10 noise over music, hardly ever listed unless of potential interest as wall hanging, flowerpot etc.

Grading enhanced or decreased by the addition of a plus or minus symbol. Major damage noted. All my records have been play graded. As a collector I have bought, sold & traded 78rpm for more than 40 years, packing will be safe and secure.

INSURANCE - if you require insurance please tell me and it will be done. If an uninsured parcel goes missing I will not be held responsible. Most things get through OK but recently I have experienced a couple of missing packages lost in the ether. Your choice - i will usually insist on insurance if the total value approaches or exceeds £100 sterling.
