'Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!': The Rolling Stones in Concert is the live album by the Rolling Stones, released on 4 September 1970 on Decca Records in the UK and on London Records in the US. It was recorded in New York City, New York and Baltimore, Maryland in November 1969, just before the release of Let It Bleed. It is the first live album to reach number 1 in the UK. It was reported to have been issued in response to the well known bootleg Live'r Than You'll Ever Be. It is now considered one of the best official live albums ever made.

The Rolling Stones 1969 American Tour's trek during November into December, with Terry Reid, B.B. King (replaced on some dates by Chuck Berry) and Ike and Tina Turner as supporting acts, played to packed houses. The tour was the first for Mick Taylor with the Stones, having replaced Brian Jones shortly before Jones's death in July; this was also the first album where he appeared fully and prominently, having only featured on two songs on Let It Bleed. It was also the last tour to feature just the Stones – the band proper with co-founder and pianist Ian Stewart – without additional backing musicians.

The performances captured for this release were recorded on 27 November 1969 (one show) and 28 November 1969 (two shows) at New York City's Madison Square Garden, while "Love in Vain" was recorded in Baltimore, Maryland on 26 November 1969. Overdubbing sessions were undertaken during January 1970 in London's Olympic Studios. The finished product featured overdubbed lead vocal on six tracks, added back-up vocals on 3 tracks, and overdubbed guitar on songs "Little Queenie" and "Stray Cat Blues." However this album is widely recognized as one of a few actual 'live' albums during this era.

In the Rolling Stone review of the album, critic Lester Bangs said, "I have no doubt that it's the best rock concert ever put on record."

'Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!' was released in September 1970, well into the sessions for their next studio album, Sticky Fingers, and was well-received critically and commercially, reaching number 1 in the UK and number 6 in the US, where it went platinum. Except for compilations, it was the last Rolling Stones album released through Decca Records in the UK and London Records in the US before launching their own Rolling Stones Records label.

ALBUM PLAYED FOR GRADING:

Yes – brilliant sound quality throughout!

Get Your Ya Ya's Out is a complex and varied collection of music, and is also an extremely sensitive piece of vinyl, hard to find in clear audio condition. Worn and un worn copies can have a lot of surface sound even on musically complex and busy tracks like 'Live With Me'.

This MINT 1st pressing has super clear undistorted audio, with brilliant clear sound and absolutely minimal background static. There is certainly no dominant interference, and NO distortion. It really sounds great and plays with great sound separation and clarity!

Superb sound, every track has been tested and I could find no obvious sound blemishes. Wonderful TOP audio, there is NO distortion, NO sticks or jumps what so ever, and virtual silence between the tracks. The sound throughout is perfect!

I'll give a detailed account below:

Beginning with the classic 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' the audio is just incredible. There is virtually no occasional static and certainly nothing obtrusive, which is pretty incredible for the 1st track on this highly collectable record. Its so clear that you can clearly hear the audience as the introductions get underway, the actual spoken intro's are above the lyrics to the first song performed, a sound that is nearly always lost with the slightest surface sound. There are so many variables in the audio performance, and so many quiet delicate sections. Amazing.

In 'Carol' the sound is just sensational. Still not a single loud pop or click, and virtually no static to be heard. 'Stray Cat Blues' again has superb clear audio. There is virtually no occasional static, just the faintest most distant background sound to be detected in one or two spots. The sound is incredible.

'Love In Vain', this track again plays with super clear audio, and barely any detectable static or surface sound. No light pops between tracks, 'Midnight Rambler' plays with no light background static, and still that brilliant clear tonal and audio quality. Again the sound is as perfect as vinyl can have, and its so hard to believe that this is a live recording, it plays with a super bright loud bassy sound. Fantastic.

Side 2. 'Sympathy For The Devil' continues the musical journey, and plays superbly. There is very little surface sound, only found during the run ins, and not a single pop or click. You can actually hear a female voice in the audience requesting the Stones to play "Paint it Black."

'Live With Me' plays superbly, with flawless audio. There is not a single loud pop or click during the music, anywhere on this vinyl. The sound quality is extremely clear, and it plays with incredible separation, sharpness and tonal clarity. The same goes for 'Little Queenie', the building intro, and the track plays superbly with very little light surface static.

'Honky Tonk Woman' plays with great clarity, following a very quiet clear middle section, returning to the final passages, this audio performance is concluded and this final outro plays superbly. There is no obvious static and no pops or clicks at all, and NO light static tics. 'Street Fighting Man' plays with great clarity, clear audio and again barely any detectable surface static at all.

This is a superb 1st pressing and a great listen. Loud, sharp clear audio, there is barely any occasional static (as detailed) and No pops or clicks, this is a superb audio performance. I doubt it could ever be bettered.

The music jumps out, with definition and clarity, the vocals which come through with tremendous power. Its the same with the bass guitar and drums, whilst the guitars come through crisp and clear. With the clear and extra loud First cut engineering giving the audio a vibrant sound which cannot be beaten.

A great all round example of this classic vinyl. This is an audio pleasure for such a rare vinyl, and I would happily give this great record a MINT sound grading.

THE RECORD

A superb piece of glossy vinyl, and a really thick pressing. Deep clear grooves that can only be found on the original early pressings, this vinyl is immaculate. In bright daylight and under a spot light it looks almost unmarked, just a couple of ultra light handling marks.

Graded at NEAR MINT condition.

THE LABELS

This ultra rare pressing comes with the 1st Press labels, in great condition, no marks or writing, no discernible  spindle wear, and NO discernible spindle traces. Making this a true rarity, especially in this condition.

A lovely set of labels. No spindle traces. Absolutely no marks or writing what so ever, and NO brush marks that these labels seem prone to, and no spindle wear. Great all round examples!

Graded at MINT CONDITION.

VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:

Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable.

THE COVER

THIS FRONT LAMINATED 'Clout & Baker' PRINTED COVER is in great condition. The spine's black printed titles state; "Get Your Ya-Ya's Out / The Rolling Stones In Concert."  All the lettering is perfect, unfaded and jet black against a barely aged, white background.

The non laminated, matt back panel is exceptionally clean and the white border also has absolutely minimal ageing.  There is no actual wear to detail for this 1970 'Clout & Baker' printed cover beyond the lightest and faintest standing brushing to the spine's tips / left corner only, the other corners are
outstanding.
There are a couple of tiny laminate edge lines alongside the spine and no ageing at all on the light pale sections of the front.

The matt back panel is superbly clean, barely aged and unfaded, and there is no record impression, although there is a very slight was purely
record impression on the front laminate, common to virtually all laminated covers. The edges and the opening sides are perfect and the opening edge is clean and completely unfrayed.

There is no light scuffing to the corners, juts a couple of very small laminate creases only. The opening edges are very square and totally un frayed. A great example. All round, this is a stunning cover!

Graded at  EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT condition.

THE INNER

ORIGINAL 1970 POLY-LINED DECCA INNER SLEEVE, IN GREAT CONDITION.

Original inner sleeve introduced January, 1970. There are no splits or tears, just a light impression of the record, a few related light creases and very little natural ageing, only fractional at the the seams and the poly-lining glue positions, soaked through the matt absorbent paper.

Graded at  EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT condition.

RARITY

A 1st pressing of Get Yer Ya Ya's Out in great condition is scarce. The vinyl is so often played so much, heavily marked, scratched, with noisy, poor and distorted sound. Any 1st pressing examples with a record that plays really well is very rare. The cover is almost impossible to find without serious wear, even modestly worn examples are scarce.

A 1st ever pressing with a great cover, an immaculate vinyl, the original inner sleeve and incredible clear audio makes this an extreme rarity.

A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO OWN AN EXTREMELY RARE PIECE OF MUSICAL HISTORY.

VINYL

Vinyl prices have soared over the last ten years, making classic examples a great financial and cultural investment.

.

VINYL SOUND - PLEASE NOTE:

Highest quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and what we always aim for. We sell records that play with TOP AUDIO performance; clear sound uninterrupted by hiss or interference. Even with the cleanest vinyl pressing you will find occasional static or occasional light tics during playback, caused by a build up of dust and dirt in the wide vinyl grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops, repeating tics or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Static build up can reduce when played, and we advise a clean between plays for optimal performance.
