**ROLLING STONES No. 1 (WITH 2.52 Mins DEMO VERSION OF "TELL ME")**

**ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING 1964 DECCA UK MONO LP LK.4605 IN FLIPBACK COVER**

MATRIX NUMBERS..... XARL/6271/1A / XARL/6272/1A VERY FIRST PRESSING

One of the hardest to find LPs in the world. This LP was withdrawn as it played the incorrect version of "Tell Me". This version is completely different to the standard issue. This is the rarer -1-1 very first pressing. It is slightly more common to find a -1-2 pressing that still played the demo version. Both label and cover have the "I Need You Baby" credits.

In my long time working with 60's vinyl, this is the best example of this LP as a -1-1 pressing I have ever seen. For one of these LPs it is in fine condition. If a mint one exists, I would say a £3,000 price tag would not be unrealistic. This LP makes a black and gold stereo "Please Please Me" easy to find! This is only the 4th copy of this LP I have ever seen as a -1-1 pressing. A mega rare item. Remember, as a rule, first pressings got worn out by the hardcore fans. To find one that plays this well after 40 years is great!

The Cover....The cover is in good strong condition. The lamination is really nice and clean. The back has started to go brown with age. There is no writing, and the flipback edges are still tidy. There is a slight, small clean tear to the opening/front (1 cm) but nothing serious, and does not really notice (see scan). Of course, this cover could be upgraded but it's still a nice cover and as it has housed the record for nearly 40 years, I feel they should be kept together. This cover is graded an Excellent minus.

The Record....The record plays very well. Under strong, unshaded light there is some light surface wear, and a few marks that are not serious (but are heavier than a surface marking) and do not affect play in any way. The disc still has a nice shine, and the sound quality is fine throughout. There is a little surface noise, but nothing that ruins the music. The LP is a great listen, with decent, raw, mono sound. "Tell Me" sounds fantastic, as does the rest of the LP. Graded Very Good Plus. The best I've ever seen for this LP.

The labels..... Both labels are clean and free from writing, tears or stickers. These are the original grooved labels. See the scans, they are very clean, and nice that they have NO writing.

The Inner Sleeve.... This is original and correct for this issue. This is the polylined "Handling" and "Playing" inner sleeve in superb, strong condition, and is also very clean. This is also free from seam splits and writing.

A mega item that very rarely shows up for sale, especially in such a decent playing condition as this, with decent sound. I doubt this will show up for sale for a very long time! 

We use the UK grading system E.G. /VG / EX / MINT. We also use + and - if there are slight differences between the grades.

**All Records are sent out in plastic covers with the record placed out of the front cover to prevent the cover from getting knifed. All records are sent out in strong mailers with added protection to make sure that they reach you in the condition that they leave here in.**

**For each record or item sent out I will fill out a separate Proof of Postage slip that is date stamped with the address of the destination of the parcel. Insurance will cost extra and is highly recommended, I will not be responsible if this is not taken for items lost in the post. I also will not send to France unless registered postage is taken as it seems the postal system in France is very poor will parcels getting stolen. This is not just me that has had this problem but my friends that also that sell.

**Please note if you cannot make payment within 20 days of auction ending please do not bid as the number of non paying bidders seems to be on the increase. If  there are any problems with sending payment i.e- you on holiday please let me know. I will provide my best service at all times. If payment has not reached me within the 20 days of the auction ending the item will be relisted or sold elsewhere. I am not into giving negative feedback as I feel that this is a childish feature and not my style. It seems some people on this auction site are Trigger Happy with this feature. ** Please read this- If you have been buying from some dealers on ebay who continue to sell records that have been altered or have stickers placed over writing or to hide damage or in a much lesser condition than stated. I would rather sell the record in it's original state rather than cut out pieces of paper to hide the truth. I am also against skimming, steaming and other dirty tricks. I will playgrade all records and do all grading under a 100 watt light bulb which shows the truth. I will be continuously be placing quality items on ebay from now on as I want to build up my customer base. The only things that I want to come back are customers not records. Thank You.**
