ROLLING STONES ‘THROUGH THE PAST DARKLY’ FIRST 1969 MONO RELEASE VINYL LP RED DECCA LABEL WITH OCTAGONAL SLEEVE WITH ORIGINAL RED SHAPED INNERS SLEEVE

This has become something of a genuine rarity, the original, red, mono release. This one comes complete with its original, shaped sleeve and unlike most copies, the inner sleeve is really in very good shape.

Sleeve condition: there is some laminate rubbed at the tip of the top and bottom of the very short spine. Apart from that, the sleeve is remarkably well preserved. The spine is legible, there is very little bumping or creasing (vague crease to one corner) and the hinge is undamaged. An Ex condition outer sleeve, and that’s a rare item, this being a really difficult sleeve to keep in this condition.

Inner sleeve conditon: Undamaged and a credit to its former owner.

Record Condition: not such a success story. Numerous marks, light and nothing to prevent play or cause jumps etc but really only a VG condition. It does play better than that of course, as does all this early Decca vinyl but I am grading this as a mid to bottom range, VG according to the Record Collector Price Guide. Please be familiar with that grading criteria before bidding.

Overall, despite the less than Ex condition of the record, this is significant rarity and sought after by collectors.
