This is the exceptionally rare MONO UK 1969 Press of 'Through the Past Darkly' by the Rolling Stones. This genuine 1969 press has all of the essential elements that make this record one of the rarest ever Rolling Stones releases. The red Unboxed Decca ffrr label, early P-1/P-3 matrix, the original 'Through the Past Darkly' red octagonal mono inner sleeve and the 1969 press laminated, with Mono/Stereo die-cut hole octagonal sleeve printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. The Mono audio is hugely superior to the Stereo, it is a completely different mix and such an incredible sound.

The record is in Very Good condition. The vinyl has a high gloss with a few very light marks on each side. On playing the sound is very warm, bold and vibrant. The crystal clear red Decca label has blue-biro initials on both sides near the spindle hole which has no wear.

The original 'Through the Past Darkly' red Mono inner sleeve is in Very Good condition. There are a couple of creases and some wear the opening edge. The red is still vivid and the white bright. The text is clear and the whole sleeve is still solid.

The heavy card laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in Excellent condition. The colours are bold, the white bright and the laminate has a bright shine. The edges are exceptionally firm, there is just a little corner wear. On the laminated back, the Mono/Stereo hole is still unworn. The two inner non-laminated sleeve sides are in pristine condition. Overall, the images are sharp and whole sleeve is solid and the spine hinge is firm.
